Radio Waves
The main purpose of radio waves is to transfer information from one place to another through intervening media without wires, and for the transmission of data in a coded form. The frequency of a radio wave is usually between 3 kilohertz and 300 gigahertz. The period of a radio wave can also be considered a property of a radio wave, and the period is the amount of time that a radio wave takes to complete a full cycle of its particular frequency.
